Our second 'Sipp Talk Live is in the books. On October 2nd, we activated the Mississippi Museum of Art with live conversation featuring artists and photographers highlighted in the Grand Hall exhibition, Exposure.—a dynamic dialogue in response to Photography and the Black Arts Movement 1955-1985.

We talked about what it means to build art around narratives that don't make the mainstream cannon of Mississippi and the South as a whole. On the walls behind the panel we see rodeos. Mississippi creatives at play, fashion, hair sculptures and the things that keep us grounded in a place people think we should hate.

The night included a fashion show, snacks, drinks, networking and our staple "Dear Mississippi" activation where our cousins get to write letters to our state, their love, their qualms, their dreams and vision for the place we call home.

Thank you to each of you that pulled up! If you missed us this time, it's okay, but take a look and feel of how the room felt to be in it. Hopefully we catch you at the next one!
