How to Cure Your Ballot, Mississippi
Did you vote affidavit in the current midterm election in Mississippi?
If so, here is what to do:
Check whether your ballot was counted and whether any follow-up is required from you by visiting the Secretary of State website at https://myelectionday.sos.state.ms.us/VoterOutreach/Pages/VoterRegistrationCheck.aspx right away.
Contact your county circuit clerk's office
Ask these four questions
Was my affidavit ballot received?
What is the reason it is under review?
What do I need to provide,
and by what deadline?
Keep your affidavit receipt or any paperwork from your polling place, and write down the date, time and name of anyone you speak with.
If you are told your ballot will not count, or you cannot get an answer, call 1-833-678-4321 so we can help you follow up.
If you registered, but were not entered on the voter roll in time:
Voters who submitted registration applications on time but were not entered on the rolls should not pay the price for a clerk's delay. The coalition is demanding that county clerks identify every such case, make the voter whole, and publicly account for how it happened. Voters in this situation should call the hotline with their name, county, and the date they registered or submitted their application.
